Description
How did you keep food items cold in the 18th & early 19th Centuries? If you were fortunate you had an out building called a ice house or spring house.
This is an original Watercolor of a winter scene at Washington Crossing Historic Park. The building in the back is the Frye House with the ice house in the foreground. This is a 5″x7″ watercolor and is matted behind glass in a simple 10″x12″ frame. A certificate of authenticity is included and placed behind the painting.
